Introduction

Dalit Society Development Forum (DSDF) is non-profitable woman-led NGO working for Dalit, Disability and Deprived (3Ds) community. Since its formation in 2004 (2061 BS), DSDF has been working to ensure and advocate the rights of 3Ds in further coordinated approach with  human right defenders, women right activist, local body of government, local mothers’ and girls group and other concerned stakeholders. DSDF office is located in Dasharath Chanda Municipality -4, Baitadi district, Far-western province of Nepal.

General Members:     35    (All Dalits) of which 22 Males and 13 Female

Executive members: 09. Out of whichn6 females and 3 males

DSDF has General Assembly members composed of 36 members with representation of all Dalit. 9 members of executive committee are elected every three years by the General assembly. Executive members consist of President, General Secretary, Secretary and other 5 executive members. Executive Committee has 3 Office Bearers (President, Secretary and Treasurer). The management committee is composed of 4 members from executive committee members who manages overall operation. DSDF has experience project manager, finance officer and field Project Coordinators of DSDF projects. Gender representation in executive committee and staff composition indicates 60% of female members.

The Executive Committee is the legally constituted body responsible for providing strategic and policy direction to DSDF. The Management Committee provides operational leadership. The Management Committee also serves as a bridge between the Executive Committee and DSDF's programs. DSDF has rental 2 rooms at Baitadi district Dashrath Municipality-1, Goathalipani .
